A guide to planning drone flights safely
Planning starts with the location and the purpose of the flight. Whether you are commissioning photographs or considering your own drone use, check current requirements before making arrangements.
Use current guidance
Requirements change and depend on the drone and operation. Start with the CAA drone guidance and use the relevant current instructions for your proposed flight.
Prepare the location information
For a commissioned project, send the address, access arrangements, surrounding activity and the images you need. Tell the operator about restrictions and people who may be affected.
Discuss practical limits
Weather, airspace and site conditions can change the plan. Agree how scheduling and any necessary rescheduling will be handled before the visit.
Arrange professional imagery
Send the site address, preferred dates and the images or data you need through our project enquiry form. We will confirm the scope, availability, deliverables and price before you book.
